Everything Is OK Now
Re-visioning the institutional bathroom and the objects within as bodily in nature, organic and flesh-like, through formal strategies of colour, texture, and hand stitching. Mahon interrogates the relationships fostered between these objects, their viewers and the institution at large. Though hand sewing felt, latex, and other materials, one-to-one scale models of institutional spaces draw attention to the fabricated, political nature of architecture.
